The Weekly Warlock Wind-Up: Odd one out (answer)

This time around, I gave you six numbers and asked you to discover which was the odd one out:

904   751   625   807   283   427

You can see the answer after the break!

Now, before anyone objects, I realise that there could be multiple answers depending on how much people nitpick. However, the intended method for discovering the answer in this case was to sum the digits of each number:

  • 9 + 0 + 4 = 13
  • 7 + 5 + 1 = 13
  • 6 + 2 + 5 = 13
  • 8 + 0 + 7 = 15
  • 2 + 8 + 3 = 13
  • 4 + 2 + 7 = 13

So it’s clear to see that 807 is the only number whose digits add up to 15 – therefore, 807 was the odd one out.

How’d you do?

Vel.
